When Tattooing Becomes Therapy: Electric Linda in Aftenposten

The love for tattoos has never been stronger – and who better to represent it than our very own Electric Linda, standing right in the middle of the storm of ink, art, and heartfelt stories! 🖤 Aftenposten recently dedicated a full double-page interview to Linda and the Masterpiece Tattoo Family – and we couldn’t be prouder of our very own tattoo mama.

“Tattoos aren’t suspicious anymore – they’re pure therapy,” Linda says in the interview.
She talks about how the industry has evolved from dark backrooms to bright, safe studios – and about clients of all ages. “Many of them are women in their 80s. The oldest is over 90!”
From bikers to grandmothers – what a journey it’s been.
When Linda started 25 years ago, tattooing was still associated with the underground scene and old stereotypes. Today, it’s art, craftsmanship, and often a form of healing.
Here at Sagene, we meet people who tattoo memories, life stories, and dreams – not just designs.
“All art is therapy,” Linda says. “But what other art form is this personal? You carry it on your body for the rest of your life.”

We love seeing tattoo art getting the recognition it deserves – and we hope even more people find the courage to express themselves through ink, in their own way.
